Women In Supported Accomodation (WISA)

WISA is a gender-specific service providing accommodation and support to vulnerable and homeless women, most specifically those with an offending background, diagnosed with mental health issues.

Target provides stable accommodation and support for women who have difficulty in sustaining a tenancy. Our intention is to support out clients towards independent living and a crime free lifestyle. We address the issue of resettlement and reintegration into the community and the problems of marginalisation and social exclusion. WISA is delivered by female staff with relevant experience necessary to achieve the best possible outcomes for women accessing the service.

WISA offers varying levels of support in accordance with the need identified, by meeting gender-specific needs we are able to offer the opportunity of the best possible outcomes for individuals. All support plans are individually tailored to ensure the specific needs of of each client are met. WISA staff adopt a multi-agency approach working alongside other statutory and voluntary provisions to ensure that clients’ needs are met.

In addition WISA offers a range of activities, education, training and/or employment opportunities alongside supporting the development of independent lifer skills through Target Housing ETE and client involvement activities. Empowering our service users to achieve independence is our end goal.
